Parking and Best Times to Visit
Now for the practical details: where to leave the car and when to enjoy the beach.
Parking at Playa Nord
In addition to the free parking at the port, the beach has another large monitored car park with more than 100 spaces. It is very close to the sand, so you will not have to walk far carrying beach gear.
However, in high season this car park can fill up quickly. Arrive early if you want to secure a space.
If you are not lucky, nearby streets usually have parking areas too.
If you plan ahead, parking a little farther away is also an option. It is a good alternative if you do not mind a short walk and want to avoid parking stress.
When to Go
The best time to visit Playa Nord depends on what you want. If you are an early riser and like peace and quiet, the first hours of the morning are magical. Sunrise over the Mediterranean is worth getting up for.
If you prefer to sleep a little longer, between 10:00 and 12:00 is a good time. The beach starts to come alive, but you can still find space for your towel.
If you want to avoid the hottest hours, go from 16:00 or 17:00 onwards. The sun is gentler and you can enjoy a beautiful evening.
Many families also start leaving around this time, so the beach becomes more open.
Final tip: if you can, avoid weekends in July and August. Those are the busiest days and, although the beach is large, you will notice the crowds. Weekdays are more relaxed and spacious.
The Charm That Makes You Come Back
What makes Playa Nord in Gandía special is not only its sand or sea. It is the feeling of being somewhere that makes it easy to relax and enjoy yourself.
Whether you are lying on the sand with a good book, trying paddle surfing or simply walking along the shore as the sun goes down, the beach has a way of slowing everything down.
So next time you plan a getaway, think of this corner of the Valencian coast. Playa Nord is waiting with that dose of sea air you may be craving.
Come and discover why people who visit often want to return. Maybe you will find your new favourite place by the sea.
