Located between Calle Ribera Baixa in Gandia and the mouth of the Riu Vaca, north of the well-known North Beach, L’Auir Beach is considered by many to be Gandia’s best beach.
This untouched stretch of coastline offers a unique experience for nature lovers and anyone looking to escape the tourist bustle.
Main Features
L’Auir Beach stretches for 3 kilometers, with an impressive sandy area of 280,000 square meters. Since 2022, it has flown the Blue Flag, recognizing the quality of its water and services.
In July and August, it has police patrols and lifeguard service from Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 19:00.
A Unique Ecosystem
What truly makes L’Auir special is its ecosystem:
-
Dune system: Around two kilometers of dune ridges populated by native vegetation and characteristic wildlife.
-
Barrier beach area: One of the few well-preserved areas of this type on the Valencian coast. This coastal formation acts as a barrier between the sea and the inland wetlands.
-
Kentish plover habitat: This small coastal bird, protected by the Natura 2000 Network and Spain’s Ministry for the Environment, nests in the beach dunes.

L’Auir Beach has the highest level of protection in the Valencian Community, with the following designations:
